So when we go, I have tags for whatever I got drawn for, and my two hunting ‘guides’ [my dad and friend] have whatever they got drawn for. So most years we have more than enough tags between us. You have to shoot what you have a tag for, but we share the meat afterwards. All that said, I think you can also draw as a hunting party with multiple individuals which helps your priority/liklihood, but we don’t draw that way.

I know very little about it. Because, then you could have a buddy entering, too – and have twice the opportunity to get the tags you wanted… is what I am thinking.

Seriously, I did not get drawn for any special tags this year. Wah. Will be doe hunting on Catalina Island in Auagust, though, so I am pretty happy about that. And I’ll be near Winnipeg at the end of September hunting snipe and ducks. How far is Winnipeg from you?
