Not yet. But coming. I get asked semi-regularly when I’m going to put out a book, and I’ve decided that as with many other things lately, its time has come.
I’m actually working on two. Something book-writing-folks would likely laugh at me for. That’s okay, I can take it. Plus it’s my party, and I can write two books at once if I want to. One is going to be about the seasonal, regional ingredients that will be featured through the ‘Field to Fire’ kevinTV series, including recipes for the preparations in all the videos. And ode to the seasons. The second is a broader one about the last half decade of reinvention of my food system – a condensed summary of all the blog content, if you will, that’s in a digestible format. Hopefully heavy in food-onomics and practical concepts and solutions. I long thought ‘but all the stuff’s there, online’, but I’ve had many smarter-than-me folks make it clear that there’s no way they’re going to dig through 750 blog posts to glean information. Fair enough. Book it is. Don’t hold your breath though – I don’t intend on wrapping either of them until late in 2013, maybe even early winter 2014. I’ll make some noise about when the ‘release’ time arrives.
