In order of what I’d go out to buy right now…
Luigi Bosca Merlot [Argentina] $20.99
Whoah. The nose is amazing. Dry, but great flavour and nose. A favorite.
La Playa Rosé [Chile] $13.99
Wow. Perfect rosé, great fruits – both citrus and bright red fruits. Very impressive and enjoyable. A crowd pleaser.
Cousino Macul Antiguas Merlot [Chile] $17.99
Fabulous nose. Red fruits and spice. Loved it.
Underraga Aliwen Sauvignon Blanc [Chile] $13.99
Fragrant, light, lovely. Crisp, easy, a nice grip. I’d buy this one.
Don David Cabernet Sauvignon [Argentina], $17.99
Spunky nose, with dried fruits on the palate. Had a sense of elegance, and is a good value.
Chakana Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon [Argentina] $19.99
Raspberry nose, and raspberry and prune on the palate with a very nice mouthfeel. Very nice, and a good value.
Finca La Celia Mabec [Argentina] $17.99
Very good. Pleasant, nice vibe and size.
Trapiche Oak Cask Malbec [Argentina] $13.99
Light, very good, and a good value
Pisano Arrextea [Uraguay] $37.99
Subtle, but with character. Light nose, good sour fruits, goot complexity and lightness. Vastly overpriced, in my opinion, relative to quality of other wines here.
